NOPD Seeking Person of Interest for Questioning in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a subject identified as a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on July 26, 2021 at the intersection of North Broad Street and Bayou Road.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Darius Thomas (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-19-1997) as a person of interest in this investigation. Thomas is not currently wanted on criminal charges regarding this investigation. However, detectives feel he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
