NOPD Books Subject in Fifth District Murder

The NOPD has charged a subject with second-degree murder in connection with an incident that occurred in the Fifth District. 

Benjamin Beale (W/M DOB: 11/10/1987) has been booked on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman discovered in the 2300 block of Pauline Street. 

On Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, at 11:51 a.m., Fifth District officers arrived at a residence in the 2300 block of Pauline Street to execute a search warrant related to a missing person investigation.  

After obtaining a search warrant, investigators observed what appeared to be human remains at the location.  

Beale was rebooked at the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where he was being held on a charge of obstruction of justice of a death investigation.
