NOPD Arrests Suspect in Eighth District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD has arrested Sully Simmons (pictured, female, DOB: 05-18-1989) in the investigation of a shooting in the 100 block of Carondelet Street on January 8, 2021.

At about 11:50 p.m., NOPD Eighth District officers responded to a call regarding a female who had been shot in the leg. Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine Simmons to be the perpetrator of the shooting and obtained a warrant for her arrest.

Simmons surrendered to police on January 11 and was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
