NOPD Arrests Suspect for Assault, Firearm Possession Charges on Bourbon Street

The NOPD has arrested Andrew Breaux (DOB: 06-08-1992) in connection with an aggravated assault incident that occurred on January 17, 2019 in the 500 block of Bourbon Street.

At about 1:46 a.m., NOPD Eighth District Bourbon Promenade officers were on patrol in the 500 block of Bourbon Street when the officers were notified of an aggravated assault incident. Upon investigation, they learned that a male subject later identified as Breaux allegedly pointed a loaded handgun at a security guard when Breax was reportedly asked to leave a bar in the area.

Breaux was arrested at the location and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated assault,, illegal possession of a firearm inside of an alcoholic beverage outlet, negligent carrying of a concealed handgun and criminal trespass.
