Suspects Wanted for Armed Robbery in Eighth District

NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying two suspects who are wanted for their involvement in an armed robbery incident that happened on Thursday, December 28, 2017.

The victim told police he was heading back to his hotel located in the 300 block of Julia Street when he was approached from behind by two unknown men. The suspects asked the victim to step off of Canal Street to “talk”, but the victim declined. The suspects then caught up to the victim in the 600 block of Canal Street, at which time they produced pocket knives and demanded the victim’s property. The victim gave up his cell phone.

An unknown woman was walking by and observed the incident and the suspects fled the scene. The first suspect is described as a tall male wearing a red hoodie and khaki pants. The second subject is described as a short male wearing a black beanie, a black jacket and camouflage pants.
