Suspect Wanted in a Series of Burglaries in Sixth District

The NOPD is searching for Andre D. Washington (DOB: 06-18-1980), who is wanted for his involvement in a series of burglaries in the Sixth District.

The victim told police he observed on surveillance video an unknown man in the back yard of his property located in the 2500 block of Freret Street, at about 9 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018. The suspect fled the scene on S. Robertson Street heading toward Jackson Avenue.

The victim believes the perpetrator burglarized several of his properties that is located on Third and Freret Streets. The victim told officers he observed the properties to be locked and secured on Friday, December 29, 2017.

During the investigation, officers observed the properties and noticed what appeared to be prying and forced entry. The suspect removed over $8,000 worth of items from the locations.
