NOPD Searching for Subject in Fifth District Aggravated Second-Degree Battery

The NOPD is searching for a subject in connection with a Fifth District aggravated second-degree battery.

 

On Tuesday, January 9, 2018 around 3 p.m., the victim and the wanted subject, identified as Tony Lanzetta (W/M, DOB: 09/12/1978), were involved in a verbal altercation which turned physical in the 2400 block of Touro Street.

 

Lanzetta is accused of arming himself with crowbar and striking the victim in the head with the crowbar.

 

Lanzetta then armed himself with a knife and shouted “I’m going to kill you.”

 

Lanzetta is then accused of swinging a knife at the victim. The victim raised his left hand to protect his face and sustained a laceration to his hand.

 

The victim fled the scene and notified the police.

 

Lanzetta was positively identified as the perpetrator of this incident.
