NOPD Searches for Suspect Wanted in Armed Robbery Incident in Sixth District

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect who is wanted for his involvement in an armed robbery incident that happened on Friday, December 29, 2017.

The reporting person told police the suspect entered a business located in the 2800 block of South Claiborne Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. and removed several bottles of beauty supplies from the shelf. The suspect attempted to leave the location, at which time the manager of the business approached the suspect. The suspect allegedly stated, “I got a gun.” The suspect then fled the location without paying for the merchandise.

The pictured suspect was also involved in a shoplifting incident which occurred in the 2100 block of St. Charles Avenue on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. In both incidents the subject was observed wearing a red beanie hat and a black shirt.
