NOPD Arrests Suspect for Drug, Gun Possession on Pleasure Street

On January 23, 2018, the NOPD arrested Antoine Jordan (DOB: 04-22-1982) after he was found to be in possession of drugs and a firearm during a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Pleasure Street.

On the date of the incident, Fifth District officers were patrolling when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by an individual later identified as Jordan. Jordan attempted to flee from officer and, after a brief foot chase, the officers were able to apprehend Jordan without further incident.

The investigation led to the officers confiscating a semi-automatic firearm, a large amount of marijuana and $2,700.00 in U.S. currency from the vehicle. Additionally, the officers conducted an arrest history check on Jordan, which revealed that he was convicted of a felony within the past 10 years.

Based on the findings of the investigation, Jordan was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for Possession of a Firearm while Possessing Illegal Narcotics, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.
