NOPD Arrests Suspect for Aggravated Assault in Eighth District

NOPD officers arrested Reynaldo Deleon (DOB: 07-10-1995) for two counts of aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

The incident happened in the 300 block of Bourbon Street. The victim told police the suspect attempted to enter an area that was off-limits to customers. After being confronted by an employee, the subject produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim. A different employee observed the subject pointing the gun at the victim and asked what was going on, at which time the suspect then pointed the gun at the second employee.

The suspect was apprehended in the 400 block of Bourbon Street. Officers confiscated a 9 millimeter Smith and Weston firearm. The suspect was transported to the Orleans Justice Center where he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and illegal possession of a firearm in an alcoholic beverage outlet.
