Couple Arrested for Aggravated Battery on Trapier Street

Officers in the Seventh District have arrested Jasmine Robinson (DOB: 09/26/99) and Mark Robinson (DOB:12/10/79) for an aggravated battery incident.

The incident happened on December 19, 2017.  At approximately 1 a.m., the victim (houseguest)  told police he was awaken by Mark Robinson who demanded the victim leave his residence, which is located in the 8000 block of Trapier Street.  Before the victim could gather his belongings, Robinson reportedly began striking the victim in the head and face with a firearm.

During the course of the investigation, officers discovered Robinson’s wife attempted to conceal her husband’s identity and the crime scene. 

Arrest warrants were secured for the couple on Monday, January 22, 2018. The firearm that was used in the incident was recovered during the execution of the arrests.

Mark Robinson: RS 14:34 – Aggravated Battery & 14:95.1 Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm

Jasmine Robinson: RS 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice
