NOPD Investigating Homicide in First District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (February 9, 2024) in the 700 block of South Galvez Street that left an adult male dead.

At about 6:55 a.m., NOPD First District officers responded to a call of an unresponsive subject down at the location. The male subject was located and subsequently declared deceased on scene by EMS. At that time, the incident was deemed an unclassified death.
