Two Arrested for Illegal Possession of Firearms & Drugs

With assistance from the VOWS Unit, officers in the Seventh District arrested Eddie Howard (DOB: 10-20-94) and Randolph Pembrook (DOB: 08-25-90) for armed robbery, felon in possession of a firearm, illegal carrying of a firearm while in possession of narcotics and the intent to distribute MDMA and marijuana.  

The incident happened on February 15, 2018.  At about 8 p.m., the victim was walking to his apartment in the 7000 block of Bundy Road when he was reportedly approached by Eddie Howard who produced a firearm and instructed him to give up the money in his pockets. The victim then observed the suspect enter a specific apartment. The victim then recognized the suspect to be someone who lives in the apartment buildings.

As the investigation progressed, detectives were able to positively identify Eddie Howard as a suspect in this incident. On February 21, 2018, a high-risk search warrant was executed--- with the assistance of the VOWS Unit---at one of the apartment rooms in the location.

Howard and the second subject, later identified as Randolph Pembrook, was located inside the residence. During the apprehension and search, an AK-47 rifle was located underneath Pembrook’s bed and a stolen Sig Sauer .40 caliber pistol was discovered on the floor next to where Howard was sleeping. As the investigation progressed, officers discovered both subjects were felons in possession of a firearm and the pistol was determined to be stolen out of Gretna Parish. 

Detectives also seized 168 individually wrapped-bags of what was later determined to be marijuana and a large clear plastic bag that tested positive for MDMA.

Both subjects were booked accordingly and transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center.
