NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2100 block of Pauger Street.
Fifth District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area just after 6 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The female victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Initial reports show a second male juvenile victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
During the investigation, officers learned that subjects in a white vehicle exited the vehicle and began firing shots at the victims.
Investigators are in the process of gathering evidence as well as a motive and person(s) responsible for this incident.
