The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a juvenile reported as missing.
The reporting person told police that Marcell Welch (DOB: 04-24-2002) reported to school earlier that day, and that the juvenile had not returned to his home in the 3800 block of Gentilly Boulevard. The reporting person contacted the juvenile, at which time the juvenile said he was at a relative’s house. It was learned that the juvenile was not at the location, at which time the reporting person called police.
Welch is described as a black male, last seen wearing a Landry Walker uniform with a gray hooded sweatshirt. Welch is a known runaway. A photo of Welch is included with this release.
