NOPD is looking for a vehicle used in an aggravated battery by shooting.
On February 3, 2017, at approximately 11:55 a.m., the victim stated he was sitting in his vehicle in the 2400 block of Music Street when a dark gray Dodge Charger approached and the occupant began from the driver’s side window. The victim was struck and exited his vehicle to seek cover. The suspect then fled down Music Street then in an unknown direction.
The perpetrator is described as a black male with dark complexion. He was wearing dark clothing.

In Louisiana, battery committed with a dangerous weapon is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $5,000, up to 10 years in prison, or both. The offender is also subject to special punishment under Louisiana’s firearm sentencing enhanced statute.
