NOPD Seeking Suspects, Vehicle Taken in Armed Robbery on Dauphine Street

Two unknown black males allegedly committed an armed robbery in the 6300 block of Dauphine Street on February 4, 2017, stealing the victim’s vehicle in the process. The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating the subjects and the vehicle reported stolen.

The victim told police that at about 4:30 a.m., he was in the area unloading clothes from his 2004 Dodge Durango when the two subjects armed with guns approached him and demanded his property, including his car keys. The victim complied, and the subjects fled the scene in the vehicle on Dauphine Street toward Tricou Street.

The victim described the perpetrators as young black males wearing dark hoodie jackets, both in possession of black semi-automatic hand guns.

A photo of a vehicle similar to the vehicle reported as stolen, but not the actual vehicle, is included with this release.
