NOPD Investigating Shooting on Carondelet Street

NOPD Investigating Shooting on Carondelet Street

The NOPD is investigating a shooting that occurred tonight (February 19, 2017) in the 1000 block of Carondelet Street.

At about 8:48 p.m., NOPD officers along with officers from Louisiana State Police and Kenner Police on patrol in the area heard gunshots and immediately responded to the 700 block of Howard Avenue, where they discovered an unknown black male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the shoulder. During investigation, officers determined that the incident had occurred in the 1000 block of Carondelet Street. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
