NOPD Arrests Three Suspects on Firearm Charges, One Wanted for Murder

The NOPD’s Multi Agency Gang and Street Gang Unit arrested three suspects on Thursday night (Feb. 2) including one that was involved in a number of violent incidents.

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, both units coordinated an undercover operation with the assistance of the Special Operations Division, Louisiana State Police and U.S. Secret Service.  During the operation, detectives were able to gather information that revealed that Errol Krish (DOB: 9-2-1997) was possibly involved in recent violent acts. Krish also had outstanding warrants related to armed robbery and murder. Further intelligence revealed that Krish and two additional subjects were heavily armed.

In addition to Krish, the NOPD also arrested Corey Coleman (DOB: 8-4-1994) for possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and Edmond Bacchus (DOB: 1-31-1999) for possession of a stolen firearm. Detectives were able to apprehend all three individuals at around 10:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Marais Street.

“This is the result of hard work,  this is the result of dedication,” said NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison. "This is what we want to show the citizens what we’re going to do to make sure they’re safe and that we remove these violent criminals."

During the apprehension,  officers seized the following: (1) Ruger 9mm, reported stolen from Jefferson Parish; (1) Ruger 9mm with an extended magazine; (1) Glock 9mm with an extended magazine; (1) Norinco AK-47; (1) Zastava AK-47 and an assortment of additional ammunition and magazines.

Investigators are currently working to determine if these suspects are involved in other violent crimes.

"I applaud the NOPD Multi Agency Gang Unit for the capture of these individuals," said Mayor Mitch Landrieu. "This arrest should be a reminder of the work our police are doing to aggressively investigate and arrest anyone responsible for violence in New Orleans.  I encourage the community to continue to partner with our officers to make each of our neighborhoods safe."
