NOPD Seeking Person of Interest for Questioning in Investigation of 2021 Homicide

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a subject identified as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on November 25, 2021, in the 5900 block of Tullis Drive.

At about 11:23 p.m. on the date of the incident, NOPD Fourth District offices responded to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located two male subjects, both unresponsive and having sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were declared deceased on scene.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section Cold Case detectives have developed Travis Mitchell (pictured, black male, DOB: 04-25-2005) as a person of interest. Mitchell is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel that he has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.

Anyone with additional information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Homicide Section Cold Case detectives at 504-658-5300. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
