The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kendrick McGee (photo not available, black male, DOB: 07-10-1985) in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on November 22, 2023, in the 800 block of Canal Street.

At about 7:58 p.m. on November 22, NOPD Eighth District officers responded to a call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male gunshot wound victim. The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives developed and positively identified McGee as the perpetrator in this incident. On November 29, NOPD Homicide Section detectives obtained an arrest warrant for McGee on one count of second-degree murder.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
