NOPD Arrests Suspect on Attempted First Degree Murder Charges

The NOPD has arrested Tali Riley (black male, DOB: 2-11-2005) on charges of attempted first degree murder.

On December 13, 2023, members of the Violent Offender's Warrant Squad (VOWS) assisted by First District detectives, served an arrest warrant in the 8300 block of Apricot Street where they apprehended Riley.

Officers also confiscated several weapons, ammunition and over 1.3 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution.

Riley was being sought for a an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the 4300 block of South Carrolton on November 5, 2023,  that left a 19-year old man severely injured from gunshot wounds.

All persons are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
