The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an auto theft in the Eighth District.
On Wednesday December 21, 2022, a subject was observed retrieving keys to a 2022 Mercedes GLE 360 in the 300 block of Magazine Street and driving off in the vehicle without the owner's consent.
Through investigation, Karon Young (pictured, black male 6'2", 140lbs, DOB: 06/16/1998) was identified as the alleged perpetrator of this vehicle theft.
The vehicle was later recovered, however Young is still being sought and once apprehended will be charged with theft of a motor vehicle over $25,000.
