NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in First District Armed Robbery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Shampain Shaquan Derrick Poole (pictured, black male, DOB: 12-07-2000) of Slidell, La., in the ongoing investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on December 10, 2022, at the intersection of Treme and Barracks streets.

At approximately 12:20 pm, the victim reportedly parked her vehicle outside of her residence and exited. As she walked to the front door, the pictured suspect approached armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s keys and cellphone. The victim complied and the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Immediately following the armed robbery, the victim’s vehicle was located unoccupied. Through further investigation, NOPD First District detectives developed and positively identified Poole as the perpetrator of the armed robbery.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
