NOPD is seeking assistance from the public with locating Lavar Marquise Butler (DOB: 03-06-1997) who is wanted for first degree murder.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, (Dec. 6) at the subway located in the 2100 block of Caton Street. Third District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon further investigation the signal was changed to a homicide. Upon arrival officers observed a male victim suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The suspect is believed to have fled to Houston, Texas and may be armed.
