Suspect Identified in Theft by Fraud at Royal Street Businesses

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Quaid Landheart (DOB: 06-05-1989) in connection with two thefts by fraud that occurred at two businesses located in the 300 block of Royal Street.

In both instances, one occurring on October 2, 2016 and the other on November 17, 2016, Landheart is believed to have purchased items using a prepaid debit card with insufficient funds that he was able to manipulate in order to clear the purchases. In both cases, the businesses learned days after the transactions that the card allegedly used by Landheart was used fraudulently.

Based on evidence discovered during the course of investigation, detectives were able to develop Landheart as the suspect in both incidents. Detectives also believe Landheart be may be victimizing additional businesses as well.

When located, Landheart will be arrested on two counts of theft by fraud.
