NOPD Seeking to Identify Suspects in Shoplifting on Royal Street

The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two female subjects believed to be responsible for a shoplifting that occurred in the 300 block of Royal Street on December 9, 2016.

At about 5:05 p.m., two unidentified females walked into a jewelry store located in the area and pretended to be interested in purchasing several jewelry items. After making their selections, the subjects placed items of various cost in a box, giving the box to the store clerk to be gift wrapped. The subjects then left the location, advising they will return after the box was wrapped. After time passed, the clerk looked inside the box and discovered the higher-priced items were missing, while the lesser-priced items were left in the box.

Images of the suspects taken from surveillance video are included with this release.
