NOPD Identifies Suspect in Attempted Armed Robbery on Pittari Street

The NOPD needs the public’s assistance in locating Jaquan Dawson (DOB: 9-25-1998). He’s wanted for attempted armed robbery with a firearm in the 3700 block of Pittari Street.

 

The victim reported that on December 6, 2016, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an unknown black male knocked on his front door. When the victim stepped outside to speak with the male, he was approached by a second unknown black male brandishing a handgun. The two suspects demanded the victim hand over his property. The victim stated he didn’t have anything and the two perpetrators searched his pockets. After failing to find anything the two perpetrators fled the scene.

 

During the course of the investigation Jaquan Dawson was developed as a suspect and positively identified as the male who knocked on the victim's door. A photo of Dawson is included below however he was last known to have a low Mohawk-style haircut and gold front teeth.
