Homicide Detectives Identify Suspect in Murder at Loyola and Foucher

NOPD Homicide Detectives have identified Bryan “Butter” Rogers (DOB: 9-18-85) as the suspect believed to be responsible for shooting and killing 24-year-old Russel Frank at the intersection of Loyola Avenue and Foucher Street on Nov. 11.

The call came in just before 4 p.m. as a shooting in the area. When officers arrived they found Frank lying on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. EMS brought him to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Rogers as the suspect.

Last month, detectives identified a person of interest in the case. Police believe this unknown male may have information about the incident and detectives are still working to identify and locate him.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Bryan Rogers or the incident, please contact Homicide Detective Thaddeus Williams at 504-658-5300 with any information regarding this incident.
