The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with an attempted theft of a motor vehicle in the Third District.
On June 25, 2023, at about 10:00 p.m., an attempted auto theft occurred at Myrtle and Lotus Streets.
Through investigation, detectives positively identified Kareem Hurst, (pictured, black male 5' 6", 275lbs, DOB: 1-2-1979) as the perpetrator in this incident.
Once Hurst is located and arrested, he will be booked with attempted theft of a motor vehicle.
