The NOPD is investigating a fatal single vehicle crash that occurred this morning (August 13 2023), in the Seventh District.
At about 1:33 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of a vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified black, adult male inside of a vehicle on I-10 East at the Morrison Road exit.
Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle was headed east- bound when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his vehicle, spinning out and striking the interstate wall.
The victim suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will officially identify the victim in this incident upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
