Suspect Arrested by NOPD in Second District Shooting Investigation

On August 24, 2022, the NOPD arrested wanted suspect Michael Tobias (black male, DOB: 01-02-1990) in the investigation of a shooting that occurred on August 21 in the 8400 block of Palm Street.

Through investigation and assistance from the NOPD FBI Task Force, detectives developed and positively identified Tobias as the perpetrator in this incident and obtained an arrest warrant on one count each of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated burglary. Tobias was located today and arrested without incident. He was subsequently booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center. The pictured three firearms were confiscated during the arrest.
