NOPD Seeking Second Suspect in Eighth District Shooting Investigation

NOPD Seeking Second Suspect in Eighth District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kareem Carter (pictured, black male, DOB: 02-03-1992) in the ongoing investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting on August 1, 2021 at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Orleans Avenue that injured five people.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives have determined Carter to have been involved in this incident. When located, Carter will be arrested on charges of illegal carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon and obstruction of justice.

Detectives are also seeking an unknown black male suspect in this investigation, as well as two additional persons of interest sought for questioning.
