Listed below are significant arrests or clearances obtained by warrant between July 25-31, 2021 in investigations by the NOPD:

Homicide

• On July 30, the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals arrested Barry Bowie (pictured, black male, DOB: 08-07-1979) for second-degree murder. The incident occurred on June 7, 2021 in the 1900 block of Saint Ann Street.
• On July 29, the NOPD arrested Damon Rideau (pictured, black male, DOB: 07-11-1990) for second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. The incident occurred on July 29 at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Sage Street.
• On July 27, the NOPD arrested Robert J. Scott (pictured, black male, DOB; 06-18-1990) for second-degree murder. The incident occurred on June 28 in the 4000 block of Ulloa Street.

Shootings

• On July 26, NOPD First District officers arrested James Rhea (pictured, black male, DOB: 12-07-1982 for aggravated battery by shooting. The incident occurred on July 26 in the 700 block of South Norman Francis Parkway.
• On July 25, NOPD Third District officers arrested Eric Eskinde (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-24-1988) for accessory after the fact of an aggravated battery by shooting. The incident occurred on July 25 in the 4300 block of Louisa Drive.

Armed Robbery

• On July 26, NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Brandon Hickey B/M 8/1/1989 for armed robbery and access device fraud. The incident occurred on July 26 in the 12300 block of South I-10 Service Road.
