Suspect Wanted for Business Burglary on Tulane Avenue

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a subject seen on video burglarizing a business in the 2900 block of Tulane Avenue on August 20, 2017.

The reporting person told police that her mother arrived at the business and discovered the doors of a shed located in the rear yard of the property had been broken and a blower and orange extension cord missing. The doors were reported to have been locked prior to employees leaving the location on August 18, 2017.

Video surveillance showed that at about 6:55 a.m. on August 20, the pictured uknown black male approached the business from the north along Tulane Avenue and entered from an unlocked gate to the rear yard. The subject is then seen approaching the shed and, a short time later, is seen pulling an orange extension cord and a blower out of the shed doors before exiting through the same gate. The subject was then seen fleeing along Tulane Avenue, seen to be moving with a distinct limp.
