Suspect Sought in Fifth District Carjacking

Suspect Sought in Fifth District Carjacking

NOPD is looking for a vehicle stolen during a carjacking in the 2300 block of Royal Street.

 

The victim reported that on August 8, 2017, at approximately 10 p.m. he was exiting his vehicle in the 2300 block of Royal when he was approached by an unknown black male. The suspect demanded the victim's car keys and he complied. The perpetrator then got into the vehicle and drove away.

 

The suspect is described as a black male with a brown complexion, short black hair and thick eyebrows. He is 6’-6’2” tall, 170-180 pounds, 28-32 years old, and was wearing a dark shirt, blue jeans, and a red bandana. He is possibly armed.


The stolen vehicle is described as a black, four-door 2001 Ford Expedition with Louisiana license plate number MPL742. It is missing the front left center cap. A photo of a similar make and model vehicle is included.
