Suspect Identified in Purse Snatching, Robbery on Chef Menteur Highway

Suspect Identified in Purse Snatching, Robbery on Chef Menteur Highway

NOPD has identified Cedric Woodfork (DOB: 04-03-1979) as a suspect wanted in connection with a purse snatching and robbery at Chef Menteur Highway and Desire Parkway.

 

The victim stated that at approximately 11:35 p.m. on August 7, 2017, she was thrown to the ground and her purse was forcibly removed by a known male suspect. The perpetrator took $70 from the purse, threw it on the ground and fled the scene.

 

After investigating the incident, detectives identified Woodfork as a suspect in this incident and he was subsequently identified as the perpetrator.  Woodfork is described as a black male, 5’11” tall and weighing 169 pounds.
