Eighth District Officers Arrest Suspect in Attempted Armed Robbery

NOPD’s Eighth District has arrested Trey Landry (DOB: 1/22/1993) in connection with an attempted armed robbery.

The victim reported that on August 11, 2017, at approximately 6:43 a.m., an unknown black male, later identified as Trey Landry, approached the victim’s vehicle at North Maestri and Camp streets. The perpetrator threatened to take the victim’s purse and said he would kill her if she tried to drive away. The victim was able to flee the area with all of her property.

During the subsequent investigation, Eighth District detectives received a Crimestoppers’ tip identifying Landry as the perpetrator. Landry was in the Orleans Parish Sheriff Office’s custody for unrelated charges and the NOPD’s Eighth District Detective Unit arrested him for attempted armed robbery.
