NOPD Seeking Suspects, Vehicle in Investigation of Eighth District Shooting

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in locating three perpetrators and the perpetrators’ vehicle in the ongoing investigation of a shooting that occurred on March 17, 2023, in the 1100 block of Poydras Street.

At about 11:30 p.m., NOPD Eighth District officers responded to the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Robertson Street for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles that had crashed into each other. Occupants of one of the vehicles were found to have sustained gunshot wounds and were transported via EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives obtained surveillance video of the incident and determined three perpetrators to have been involved in its commission. The perpetrators were seen arriving to and fleeing from the scene in a dark-colored sedan.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
