The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (April 17, 2022) in the 2400 block of Feliciana Street that left one person dead.
At about 1:47 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shot person at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying near the driveway of a residence and having sustained a gunshot wound(s). The victim was declared deceased on scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
