The NOPD is investigating a homicide at the Interstate 10 exit at Michoud Boulevard today (April 8, 2020).
At about 10:55 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of human remains found at the location. At that time, the incident was being investigation as an unclassified death. Upon further investigation, detectives have determined that the deceased was a victim of a homicide.
NOPD Homicide Unit detectives are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.
No additional details are available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
