Suspects Sought in Seventh District Attempted Armed Robbery, Shooting

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying two suspects in the investigation of an attempted armed robbery that involved an aggravated battery by shooting on April 7, 2019 in the 11000 block of North I-10 Service Road.

At approximately 3:08 a.m., the armed subject pictured at top was seen entering a Waffle House restaurant. When the subject saw a security guard inside, the subject allegedly began shooting before fleeing the location on foot.

Security footage revealed a second subject, pictured at bottom, who appeared to be standing in the rear of the business acting as lookout. This subject is seen to take cover then flee on foot in an unknown direction, possibly distracted by the first subject firing his weapon.

The security officer received a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he was listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
