NOPD Searching for Person of Interest, Vehicle of Interest in Seventh District Armed Carjacking

The NOPD is seeking to locate a person of interest for questioning and a vehicle of interest in the investigation of an armed carjacking reported in the 6000 block of Bullard Avenue on March 30, 2019.

The victim was pumping gas into her vehicle at a gas station when an unknown black male reportedly approached her and asked if she knew the location of a street. The victim replied that she did not, at which time the subject then asked if she was from New Orleans. The victim further stated that she was not. As she walked to the driver’s side of her vehicle and attempted to enter the vehicle, the subject allegedly demanded the victim’s keys. The victim advised she would not give him her keys, at which time the subject allegedly brandished a black semiautomatic handgun. The victim complied and the subject fled the location in her vehicle.

The above pictured person of interest was observed on scene in the above pictured vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic, and is believed to have valuable information regarding this incident.

The person of interest is not currently wanted in connection with this incident.
