NOPD Arrests Multiple Juvenile Suspects for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things

The NOPD has arrested five juvenile male suspects after the suspects were found on April 3, 2019 in possession of a vehicle reported as stolen.

At about 5:18 p.m., Seventh District officers were dispatched to the 7200 block of Boston Drive on a suspicious person call. The officers arrived in the area and learned the unknown subjects fled the location inside a black Honda Pilot towards Morrison Road from Boston Drive. Upon the officers observing the vehicle, the officers attempted to obtain a license plate number, at which time the subjects inside of the vehicle observed the officers and fled from the area. Officers did not purse the vehicle.

Additional responding officers canvased the area and observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied in the 7100 block of Parkside Court, where several subjects were seen fleeing from the vehicle on foot. Responding officers were able to apprehend all subjects without incident.

The vehicle was later discovered to have been reported stolen from the 5600 block of Read Boulevard.

The juveniles – three 14-year-old males and two 15-year-old males - were booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for illegal possession of stolen things.
