ARRESTED: Suspect Apprehended for Illegal Discharge of a Weapon

NOPD officers have arrested Robert Moody (DOB: 11/06/1986) after he was accused of illegally discharging a weapon in the Seventh District.

On March 29, 2019 Seventh District officers responded to a call of a verbal altercation in the 7800 block of Venice Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers learned that Moody fired several shots in the air and was reportedly relocated from the area by his acquaintance.

The subject’s acquaintance reportedly returned to the location, at which time she was detained by officers for further questioning. Following questioning, the acquaintance contacted Moody and the officer convinced the subject to turn himself in.

Moody arrived at the Seventh District police station where he was taken into custody. He was then transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked accordingly.

Anyone with any additional information regarding this incident should contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
