UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery at Intersection of Decatur and Conti Streets

UPDATE: An arrest has been made in connection with this incident. Eighth District officers arrested Frank Taylor (DOB: 02-28-1999) in the 400 block of Bourbon Street today (April 5, 2018). Taylor has been booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of armed robbery.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate a suspect wanted in an armed robbery reported at the intersection of Decatur and Conti streets on April 4, 2018.

At about 3:35 p.m., the pictured suspect allegedly shined the victim’s shoe and demanded payment. The victim did not comply, at which time the subject allegedly pulled up his shirt and revealed a handgun in his waistband. The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene, taking $20 from the victim.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male, believed to be between 20-25 years old.
