Suspect Arrested for Illegally Possessing Drugs & Gun on Bourbon Street

Officers in the Eighth District arrested Curtis Emilien (DOB: 02-18-95) for illegally possessing a gun and drugs in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.

The incident happened on March 20, 2018. At 11:40 p.m., Eighth District officers Rayvon Souffrant and Colin Niselman were patrolling in the area on foot. When Emilien walked past the officers, they observed what appeared to be an imprint of a concealed handgun. The officers then conducted a stop and discovered a loaded handgun in Emilien’s possession.

The officers additionally discovered five bags of marijuana and $1,309 cash in Emilien’s possession.

Emilien was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for illegal possession of a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.
