The NOPD is seeking information to assist in locating a suspect vehicle in connection with the homicide of Ronnie Shallerhorn and the injuring of a second victim on March 26, 2018 in the 0 block of Acadiana Place.
Just after 8:30 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 0 block of Acadiana Place. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to University Medical Center by EMS, where one of the victims – later identified as Shallerhorn – died as a result of his injuries.
As the ongoing investigation progressed, detectives obtained surveillance footage which captured a suspect vehicle fleeing the scene. The vehicle appears to be a white Chevrolet Camaro with unknown colored stripes. The vehicle was last seen fleeing from the intersection of Acadiana Place and Willowbrook Drive.
