The NOPD is searching for a subject in connection with an Eighth District armed carjacking.
The wanted subject, Rayshaun George Lea (B/M DOB: 03/05/1992) has been identified as the perpetrator in an armed carjacking.
The incident took place in the 1000 block of Frenchmen Street on March 24, 2018 around 5 a.m.
The vehicle taken during the incident, a black 2014 Nissan Altima license plate number 762AKD, is believed to be the vehicle Lea is currently operating with.
A switched plate may be in place on the vehicle, and Lea may still be in the metropolitan area.
Lea is to be considered armed and dangerous.
