NOPD Arrests Juvenile in Armed Robbery in Seventh District

The NOPD has arrested a male juvenile (DOB: 09-20-2001) in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on March 26, 2018 near the intersection of Crowder Boulevard and South I-10 Service Road, the second suspect arrested in this incident.

Seventh District Detectives determined that at about 6 a.m., three victims were walking in the area when the juvenile suspect – who was reportedly armed with a handgun – and with a second suspect identified as Andrew Stevens (DOB: 12-31-2000) allegedly approached the victims at the location and demanded the victims’ property. All three victims complied, and Stevens and the juvenile reportedly fled the location with the property.

Stevens was arrested on April 12 for three counts of armed robbery.

As investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were also able to obtain an arrest warrant for the juvenile suspect for three counts of armed robbery. The juvenile suspect was arrested at his residence on April 26, 2018, during the execution of a search warrant.
